I recently had a procedure with Dr. Slater at Austin Ear, Sinus and Allergy, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. This was my first visit to Austin Ear, Sinus & Allergy, and I had an excellent experience. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Jade, the PA I saw during my visit, was absolutely amazing. She addressed all of my concerns with patience, compassion, and thorough explanations. During my sinus CT scan, they discovered a possible periodontal abscess related to one of my wisdom tooth extraction sites - something I never would have expected. Yet again…. Professional. Communicative. Informative. Kind. Clean. Fun. Most importantly, takes all the time with you that you could ever need. Every time I see Dr Slater I’m reminded that not everyone in modern medicine is just shoveling people through their office as fast as possible for co-pays. His office is a truly unique experience and I wish there were more offices like his out there.

Dr. Slater is a kind and very compassionate doctor who was incredibly helpful during my recent visit for lifelong vertigo. From the start, I felt heard and taken seriously. One of the biggest advantages of this office is their in-house CT machine. They were able to scan my inner ear on the first day, which saved me a lot of time and energy compared to other places. Great doctor and team. I’ve been a patient for years and have had a lot of problems. Dr Slater is probably the only reason I can still hear at all. Previous drs didn’t do anything other than fix immediate local symptoms and didn’t even acknowledge there were much bigger issues that were getting worse and needed to be addressed. I appreciate the comprehensive approach to ears, sinuses, and neurological components. It’s all connected and somebody needs to be able to look at the whole picture to figure out what’s wrong.
